IIUM Flag Handover Session!

We had the honor of handing over the IIUM Flag to our proud alumnus, Br. Mohd Khafiz Bachok (KENMS 2002), from the Deputy Rector (Student Development & Community Engagement), Prof. Dato' Dr. Mohamad Fauzan Bin Noordin, at the Senate Hall, IIUM Gombak.

This ceremony serves as a support from the University for the beginning of Br. Khafiz’s next extraordinary journey to conquer Mount Everest. The expedition will take place from 4 April 2026 to 27 May 2026.

On behalf of the University, the Alumni Relations Division prays that Allah (SWT) grants you the strength of a mountain, the patience of a traveler, and a safe return to share your story while bringing back the pride of IIUM and your name for Malaysia to the world, just as you did during your journey to Mount K2.

May the IIUM Flag once again proudly fly at the top of the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest. Thank you for your unwavering dedication to your alma mater, and may you continue to inspire generations of the IIUM community to dream big and aim high.
