Launching of Donation Drive for IIUM Alumni Scholarship and Financial Assistance (ALSAFA) in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan 1443

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zulkifli Hassan, the Deputy Rector (Student Development and Community Engagement) of IIUM, launched the IIUM Alumni Scholarship and Financial Assistance (ALSAFA) donation drive in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan 1443H on 1st April 2022. 

The ALSAFA fund is raised through the generous contribution of IIUM alumni, the public and organizations to help underprivileged IIUM students. Since its establishment in 2017, the fund has assisted 421 students.


Brothers and sisters, according to a hadith narrated by Anas (RA) the Prophet (SAW) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He said, “Charity in Ramadan.”. So let us take advantage of this blessed month of Ramadan and boost our ibadah with sadaqa. Your sadaqa will go a long way to help the students in need. 

Donations can be given through Flywire (from outside Malaysia), or ToyyibPay and Jompay (for those in Malaysia). IIUM staff members can also donate through monthly salary deduction.
